4th street

SO I'm beginning some recording on June 16th with a guy named Jim wirt in los angeles ..met jim through dominique....jim has done albums for fiona apple, incubus, hoobastank, peter case to name a few....may seem like an odd pick but that was intentional.... we shall see what comes of it....not sure what songs we are doing yet....there are so many to pick from...that indubitably will be the hard part. Thank you to the folks in LA that came out to the mint last week...i had a good time....its always weird playin in LA...never gotten used to it....There was a point in the show where i was saying something and the crowd didn't seem interested and so jokingly i tapped the mic with my forefinger and said " is this thing on?" the soundman came thru his mic and said " yes its on"..i replied back, " i know...i'm painfully aware of this" so to say i killed the room would be a great exaggeration....i had fun though....sound was odd...oh and in LA ...you don't get soundchecks....thats nice....sorry its been so long since writing....hope everybody is doing great...i'm reading " razors edge " now....going to see " kingdom of Heaven" tomorrow.....saw a cool flick " the woodsman"...would like to thank Stephen King for writing about me in EW...
Doing Sheffield Garden walk this summer...july 23rd i think.....cubs continue to lose....
not writing a whole bunch now....today was actually one of the first times in a while....kinda wanna get a batch of songs down cuz that kinda dictates where you and/or your characters need to go.....like reading a road map in the dark....( hey thats pretty good)...spring has sprung....enjoy it...God bless ...be safe...take care of one another....
